There’s no place for a person like me.

I’m calculated and trustworthy.

I do well by those who know me,

but nobody knows me.

I let few people into my circle,

and they’ve recoiled.

Alone again. I can regain an audience,

but nobody cares.

Maybe one day I can feel accepted,

but until then I’ll sit on the sidelines.

I’ll hope for a better day,

and maybe I’ll live after that.
