From Boy to Man

January 13, 2017

He was determined.

The water crashed onto the beach.

A boy, shirtless and wearing khakis, held onto a bucket.

The water rushed towards him.

He threw it back.

The bucket, which was weighed down by water, started to break.

Determination damned, he threw the bucket into the water and fell to his knees.

He pushed and fought fist to fist with the waves.

Until it was time to go.

He’d never return to fight again because there’s nothing to win.
